David Oxtoby

David Oxtoby, together with John Loker, Norman Stevens and David Hockney was a member of an informal group of artists who studied at Bradford Junior Art School and later at Bradford School of Art. They all gravitated to London where Stevens and Oxtoby were students at The Royal Academy Schools and Hockney famously attended the Royal College of Art.

The photograph shows (from left to right) John Loker, Norman Stevens, David Oxtoby and David Hockney in the common room at Bradford.
